BOOKS TO KEEP
Did you know that a child who can't read on grade level by the 3rd grade is four times less likely to graduate from high school than a child who does read proficiently in the 3rd grade. Add poverty to the mix, and a student is 13 times less likely to graduate on time than his or her proficient, wealthier peer.
Won't you join us in bringing the world of books to children in your town? It's easy and very inexpensive (sometimes free) to get started.
We find our books everywhere - garage sales, books sales, local libraries - even retailers have inexpensive books.
Your book club, Mom's club, civic organization, Girl or Boy Scouts, church group - or any group of like minded adults (and even kids) can make this program work right in your home town. Please join us as we fight for the next generation of children.
Our Goal: Delivering new and gently used books to children in need through local food pantries and soup kitchens. Please join us as we help children in poverty create their own personal library of Books To Keep.
